Govt. of Maharashtra has announced IT policy in 1998, as a result of which a software Technology Park was established at Nagpur on 1900 Sq. meter land area. 18 tenements have been designed and allotted to 12 units who have set up their IT units in this
park.
In addition to existing construction of 1515 sq. meters,
additional construction of 3000 Sq. meter is planned by MIDC. All these
11 units are engaged in export of software. The STPI has secured 2 Mbps
connectivity via STPI Pune gateway.
