As a major highlight, Maharashtra State's First Food - Park in Butibori Nagpur is being set up by MAIDC Mumbai with assistance from Department of agriculture Government of Maharashtra and MFPI Government of India.

• Nagpur city's Foundation was laid by The Gond King of Deogad, "Bakht Buland Shah" in the year 1702.
• Nagpur is well known for its oranges. It is also well known as the "Orange City".
• The Nagpur District's Area is 9931 Sq. Km.
• According to the 1991 census, the population of this region is 32,74,974.
• Nagpur District Consists of 14 Tahsil places and 1958 small villages.
• Nagpur was the capital of Central Provinces and Berar State till 1960.
• On 1st May 1960, it became the Second Capital of Maharashtra State.
• Nagpur will complete 300 years of establishment in the year 2002.
